New and Notable 01/16

This marks a VERY special edition of our new and notable digest because it’s the first time we’ve seen 2.0 products hit the shelves! Not only are there new brands, but some really high-quality ones at that. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re into candies, cookies, chocolates and drinks – for both lovers of CBD and THC.

It’s important to remember that for each package, there is a limit of 10 mg of THC. This is not imposed by FOUR20, but a government regulation to ensure safe consumption of edibles. If you have any edible questions, we give an “Edibles 101” overview here.

Everie Tea Bags

The Everie premium teas are all CBD based. Take the calming effects of a warm cup of tea and amplify that with 10 mg of CBD isolate. Available in Lavender Chamomile, Peach Ginger and Vanilla Rooibos.  The quality of the tea is top of mind when we first took a sip, no artificial flavours or unnatural tastes, and the soothing effects were well worth this indulgence.

Foray

Foray aims to be an accessible entry point for anyone, at any point in their cannabis journey. Foray has stocked our shelves with a variety of chocolates and gummies. All of their gummies are a) delicious and b) vegan, gluten-free and contain traceable ingredients. With the regulated edibles market, where we can’t actually see the edibles until we open the government packaging, knowing the ingredients are quality is a really big value add.

Foray also sources high-quality chocolate from Barry Callebaut. No weird coincidence here, Barry is the famed Bernard Callebaut’s brother. The cocoa in Foray chocolates originates from a single source in Ghana. With high concentrate chocolate squares, scored lose dose chocolate bars and balanced chocolates, there’s a delicious way to indulge for all levels of consumers.

Kolab Project

Kolab Project is a platform dedicated to arts, design and culture. Our mission is to provide Canadians with a carefully curated selection of exceptional cannabis products, while championing high quality, purposeful goods produced in collaboration with culturally-relevant creators.

Kolab comes to use with two new products. The Grapefruit Hibiscus Soft chews are THC dominant and the Apple Green Tea soft chews are CBD dominant. They are vegan-friendly, gluten-free, made with traceable ingredients and 100% delicious. You’re sure to enjoy these perfectly textured chews that come with a big pop of flavour.

Aurora Drift

Hand-painted chocolates, soft chews and soft-baked cookies. Aurora came to play with their new edible products. The cookies are brownie flavoured, win, and also vegan, gluten and dairy-free, also win.

Chowie Wowie

Chowie Wowie’s ethos is that “edibles should be fun, safe, tasty and consistent. And most importantly, enjoyed with friends.” While government packaging isn’t usually fun, Chowie Wowie sets the tone for a good experience with it’s brightly covered offerings. The chocolate is super smooth with minimal THC taste and has two servings per package for a very economical price.

San Rafael Pineapple soft chews

Of course, San Rafael would come out with pineapple chews. Express to flavour town. These soft chews have the perfect texture and a bright flavour. While these are a low dose, they are Sativa-based, so very mellow and uplifting.
