The hidden gem awaits

It’s been a while, but we’re excited to bring our community features back! Our Oakridge location is nestled in Oak Bay Plaza, which has been recently revitalized and offers quite a few little gems. The Oakridge location is across from the reservoir boat launch, so we can’t wait for sunny day activities here.

This location has become a prized addition to the neighbourhood due to its consistent stock levels. While we know you want to keep this location to yourselves, we just had to share! Currently, we are nestled in between a famed Calgary Breakfast joint and a soon-to-be convenience store, so we are snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug in this location. One stop shop! If you venture just beyond our strip, you’ll find tons of great food places! (Because, munchies)

Nellie’s on 90th

Nellie’s a breakfast staple in Calgary, having expanded their empire from 17th to multiple locations across the city. Nothing fancy, just good hearty breakfast the way we like it. The diner décor places you in a different time, when avocado toasts didn’t rule the food scene and you didn’t have to take on second job to pay for breakfast. Good food at good prices. Our old souls rejoice.

The Point Public House

Who doesn’t love a classic English pub? Again, we love a no-frills place. The institution has been around since the 80s, serving an extensive range of craft, domestic, premium, and imported bottled beers, and a wide selection of wines from around the world. Their menu is filled with classic pub fare, but they offer an elevated take. Pints and good food always leave us satisfied and feeling like we went on a short vacation across the pond.

Oakridge pizza

Pizza! We’re big fans. This local pizza parlour is doing it right. Cheesy, doughy goodness. And while we know the “pineapple on pizza debate” is still going strong, Oakridge pizza, which has won Eric Francis’ Pizza Pig-Out contest 9 times since 2013, was voted “Best Hawaiian Pizza 2016.” As pineapple on pizza lovers, our interest was piqued and we were not disappointed. The pizza joint is connected to Involtini’s, a family-run Italian joint that has become a neighbourhood staple.

So, if you’re like us and your weekends consist of adventuring, eating and some good green, our Oakridge location ticks all the boxes.

All of our locations are open 7 days a week, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. to serve you better!
